Kogarah Public School Upgrade Project

As part of the NSW Government's plan to rebuild public education, the 2024-25 Budget is delivering record education funding, including $9.2 billion for new and upgraded schools. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.

We are planning an upgrade for Kogarah Public School to improve facilities and support our growing community. The upgrade will include:

• a new multipurpose hall
• 24 new permanent classrooms
• outdoor spaces/play area
• covered outdoor learning area (COLA)
• removal of temporary classrooms.

Holiday works

Over the school holidays from 28 September 2026 to 9 October 2026 works will be continuing at Kogarah Public School. This will include:

• reinstatement of the footpath on Gladstone Street
• installation of solar panels on Building K
• potholing investigations around Building A
• replacing current hoarding with temporary fencing around Building L
• upgrades to the canteen in Building A
• works to add a Uniform Shop to Building F

These works are not expected to cause any disruptions and will take place during normal working hours, 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, and 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. No works will take place on Sundays. During the footpath reinstatement on Gladstone Street, pedestrian access will be altered slightly, however temporary fencing and signage will be in place to ensure the safety of pedestrians.
