Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
PDHPE provides students with opportunities to explore issues that are likely to impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others – now and in the future. Students also participate in challenging and enjoyable physical activity, improving their capacity to move with skill and confidence.
School sport
Children at Kogarah Public School participate in physical activity programs from Kindergarten to Year 6. These programs focus on the twelve fundamental movement skills.
PSSA sport
Students in Years 3 to 6 have the opportunity to participate in an inter-school competition each year. Children are able to try out for sports such as:
- netball
- softball
- cricket
- soccer
Announcements will be made during school about when try outs occur, what time training is and other information such as transportation to the event.
